SimpliFlight for Android (beta)
We're bringing SimpliFlight to Android alongside iOS — the same Hobbs capture, pilot logbook, and cost tracking, running on your Android phone. It's early days: there's no Google Play listing yet, so you install the APK directly from this page.
Release details
Installing the APK
- Tap Download the beta APK above in Chrome. It downloads as
simpliflight-android.apk. - Open the downloaded file from the Downloads notification, or from the Files app.
- Android will warn that installs from this source are blocked — tap Settings, allow installs from Chrome, then go back and open the file again.
- Tap Install. When it finishes, open SimpliFlight from your app drawer.
Want to verify the file? The SHA-256 above should match what you get from
sha256sum simpliflight-android.apk (or shasum -a 256 … on a
Mac).
Requirements
Android 8.0 (Oreo) or newer. If something looks wrong on your device, please let us know via Support — beta feedback helps us get the Play release right.
Google Play
Google Play listing coming soon. Until then, this direct APK download is the only way to install SimpliFlight on Android. Once we publish to Play, updates will happen automatically like any other app.
Private by design
Same promises as iOS. Hobbs photos, receipts, credential scans, and GPS tracks never leave your phone. Hobbs photos aren't even stored — only the reading. SimpliFlight works fully offline; optional cloud sync transfers only structured records — dates, hours, amounts — never photos, tracks, or PDFs. No ads, no tracking, no data sales. Updating
To update later, come back to this page, download the latest APK, and install it the same way. Installing a newer version over the old one keeps your data — you don't need to uninstall first.
